The famed wines of Burgundy
owe their reputation to the Pinot Noir, Aligoté, and Chardonnay
grapes. Buxy is located in the hills of the Côte Chalonnaise where
the best wines of Burgundy are produced. Aligoté wines are recognized
for their structure, light acidity and striking color. Unlike wines
from other regions, Burgundy wines are not blended; rather, each
wine is made from 100% of the named grapes from the producer.
Varietal:
Aligoté
About the Producer:
The French Revolution, phylloxera, and two World Wars wrought
havoc on the vineyards of Burgundy. In 1931, more than one hundred
vineyards joined forces to rehabilitate some of the most renowned
vineyards in Burgundy. These vineyards remain family owned and operated.
Etienne Rodier has earned respect and recognition in France for
his dedication to the integrity of Burgundy wines and traditional
winemaking methods.

Food Pairings: Aligoté accompanies sausage, raw vegetables
(including salads), and fish.
Tasting Notes:
Aligote is a wine marked by white fruits with honeyed notes against
a mineral backdrop. Its resulting flavor is very fresh and
clean - elegant.
