Entre-deux-Mers
lies in the area between the Dordogne and the Garonne Rivers to
the east of Bordeaux and has a reputation for producing white wines
that are memorably fresh and complex. The Pommier vineyard
covers the highest plateau in the region, further enhancing the
crisp and refreshing character of the wine.

About
the Producer: For five generations,
the Pommier Family has been producing wine on 80 hectares (about
200 acres) of vineyard here. This is an award-winning vineyard long
known for its exceptional wines. Madame Pommier is known fondly
in the region as Madame Entre-Deux-Mers, largely in recognition
of her ability to produce excellent white wines and of her energetic
promotion of local wines. They use traditional methods of
vinification.
Tasting
Notes: Elegance and finesse. The
bouquet shows peach, pear and melon scents along with smoky, citrusy,
floral and herbal nuances. The flavors are zesty and bright with
a minerally-clean freshness that defines good white Bordeaux. The
palate-pleasing peach and melon fruit elements are enhanced by nuances
of pear, herbs and smoky spice. The finish is dry and clean with
an intriguing twist of citrus and spice.
