DOCG
Chianti: This
particular Chianti is made with the old traditional vinification
method: fully mature grapes are harvested from the vineyards and
crushed almost immediately. The crushed grapes are then poured into
large stainless steel tanks for fermentation. The primary fermentation
occurs at the controlled temperature of 23-24° C. When the primary
fermentation is completed, the wine is filtered and it is then aged
for 12 months in Slavonian Oak casks. The wine is then stored in
dark bottles for a minimum period of 3 months. The result is a bright
ruby red wine, intense and fruity with a violet fragrance and its
distinguishing characteristic bouquet.

About
the Producer:
The Vinicola Tombacco wine cellar was established almost a century
ago, in Trebaseleghe, a small rural village in the heart of the
northeast of Italy, between the cities of Venice and Padua. As the
Italian wine commerce shifted to
this area, the
cellar expanded its markets and commercial activities beyond this
region. Aware of its heritage, the
cellar reached out by
diligently developing trusting relationships with a number of winemakers
and by seizing the opportunity to select the best wines, both locally
and throughout Italy .
Tasting
Notes: Deep,
attractive ruby red color. Elegantly fruity nose, with marked scents
of wild red berries foregrounding nuances of mixed spices. The palate,
too, shows excellent fruit of black cherries and dark chocolate
supported by judicious tannins. Lengthy finish.
