Anjou: This is an appelation of south-facing vineyards near Angers on the right side of the Loire River. The climate is northern and oceanic.

About the Producer:  For eight generations in Champ sur Layon under Napoleon III,  the Domaine CHUPIN has produced exceptional wines.  The vineyard is superb with 100 hectares of land bordering the Loire River. This domaine, very known in the area, has earned many medals in the Paris "Concours General."

Tasting Notes:  A beautiful crystal clear wine with hints of pale green.  There are aromas of ripe almond, acacia and quince that combine harmoniously to exhibit a dry, well-balanced white with good length.

Recommended Food Pairings: Fish, particularly with cream or butter sauces, and cheese.
