Tasting
Notes: An
archetype of Rhône character - combining power and spicy elegance
with utterly palate-pleasing style. The '07 Fond-Croze Côtes
du Rhône has a stunning bouquet for such an affordable red.
Lucious ripe blackberry and plum fruits are enhanced by nuances
of violet, cinnamon and black pepper. The flavors are generous with
the blackberry and plum fruits underscored by hints of clove and
the characteristic black pepper spice of the region.
Recommended
Food Pairings: Perfect red for richer pork dishes,
crock pot recipes and tomato-based seafood stews. Red meats, potages,
and cheeses. Its
rich fruit and spicy style makes a great choice for a warm-weather
grillfest. Try it with everything from steaks to burgers to salmon
to veggies and beyond. Its bright and zesty character
makes it a perfect companion for pizza, pasta, spicy stews and anything
grilled.
