IGT
Pinot Grigio: This Pinot Grigio features a delicate fruity
scent and a straw yellow colour featuring greenish hues. It is a
crisp and clean wine, delicate and mild, but full-bodied and complex
at the same time with nuances of flowers and fruit.
Varietal:
Pinot Grigio. It is a hugely successful grape that originated
in Bourgogne, in eastern France. Genetically the wine is related
to the Pinot Bianco, which is one of the highest quality wines around
the world where this grape is grown.
Tasting Notes:
A top value pinot grigio made from fruit sourced from Veneto — Italy
's prime region for quality white wines. Sur-lie matured in stainless
steel tanks, reflective of the region's terroir while displaying
pinot grigio's best varietal characteristics: good structure and
intensity balanced by lively acidity. The vineyard sites for this
particular wine contain a substantial amount of dolomite limetone,
adding delightful mineral notes to the wine. The 2010 is a glassful
of sunshine. Fuller and riper than many pinot grigios, this wine
boasts bright acidity, clean, light fruit and limestone minerality.
Refreshing and food friendly. Dry, full-bodied, mellow.
Recommended Food
Pairings: Excellent aperitif wine, light hors d'oeuvres
and soups, consommés, seafood and white meat dishes, egg-based
dishes. Very appealing.
